Microsoft Exchange Mac Outlook
If you're using Outlook to access your Office 365 email account or another Exchange-based email account, and you're having problems, we want to get you back to sending and receiving email as quickly as possible.
- Users can connect supported versions of Outlook to Exchange Online, so they can use the rich client application they already know; For web-client access, Outlook on the web provides a premium browser-based experience that matches the look and feel of the full Outlook client; The Focused Inbox makes it easy to track email that matters most.
- RPC over HTTP, also known as Outlook Anywhere, is a legacy method of connectivity and transport between Outlook for Windows and Exchange. In May 2014, Microsoft introduced MAPI over HTTP as a replacement for RPC over HTTP. Starting on October 31, 2017, RPC over HTTP will no longer be a supported protocol for accessing mail data from Exchange.

Oct 14, 2012 I currently get my emails from an exchange server. I have configured both Apple mail and outlook 2011 to both use the exchange account. Currently everything sits on the exchange server. What I'd like to do is archive everything to my local machines drive so that I can review it all at leisure.

Fix software update and profile issues
Out-of-date software and corrupted Outlook profiles are two of the most common issues that can prevent you from sending and receiving email. If you're an admin with multiple users reporting problems, you also should check for service issues with Office 365.

Check for service issues | Admin only: If more than one person in your organization is experiencing email problems in Office 365, it could be due to a problem with the service. Go to the Office 365 service health dashboard page (admin sign in required), and check the status of the services under Exchange Online. |
Outlook on the web (formerly known as Outlook Web App or Outlook Web Access) is a browser-based email client. Outlook on the web lets you access your Microsoft Exchange Server mailbox from almost any web browser.

How to set up Exchange on the web to access Exchange Server

To set up Outlook Web App to access Exchange Server, follow these steps:

Ask your network administrator or local Helpdesk to see whether your account has Outlook Web App enabled. If Outlook Web App is enabled, ask the administrator or Helpdesk for the address (URL) of Outlook Web App. Usually, the address is in the following form:
https://<Domain Name>/OWA
Normally, you can find the Outlook Web App URL by clicking File->Info in Outlook.
Note
This feature is available on Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013. It depends on the server side settings.
Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, type the Outlook Web App address in the address bar, and then press Enter.
If you receive the following certificate warning page, click Continue to this website (not recommended) to continue to open Outlook Web App.
Note
This certificate warning is displayed if an incorrect certificate is being used in the Exchange server. Report this issue to the network administrator.
On the Outlook Web App sign-in page, type your user name and password, and then click Sign in. The user name must be in one of the following formats:
- Username@domain.com
- Domain/username
Note
In most cases, the user name and password are the logon name and password that you use to log on to your organization's network or computer.
If you don't know your Outlook Web App user name and password, you should contact the network administrator.
